Learning and Living Communities and First-Term Seminars Posted on October 9th, 2009 by

Recommendation from the Interdisciplinary Programs Task Force:

Pilot Learning and Living Communities built around a set of First-Term Seminars with common or closely-related syllabi and students housed in the same residence hall starting in 2010-2011.

This recommendation was placed in the Quality-Enhancing and Innovative Initiatives Strategic Framework Substantive Category using the language:

Implement a structure to support theme-based housing for a minimum of 25 percent of student housing by enhancing already existing communities and creating Learning/Living communities linked to First Term Seminars and other academic courses.

This recommendation was placed is Tier 3 and is being monitored by the Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs.
