Recommendation from the Community Engagement Task Force:

Provide students access to engage in transformational experiences in the community by removing participation barriers of transportation and funding. In addition, provide the staff and financial resources needed to sustain multiple entry points for meaningful engagement.

Additional explanation:

The goal is to keep participation voluntary, to involve self-reflection, and increase the demand for community based learning activities.

This recommendation was placed in the Partnerships and Collaborations Strategic Framework Substantive Category using the language:

Providing the staff, transportation, and financial resources needed to sustain multiple entry points to provide students access to engage in transformational experiences in the community.

This recommendation was placed is Tier 2 and is being monitored by the Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs.
