Recommendation from the Global and Multicultural Initiatives Task Force:

Connect internationally-based and internationally-connected alumni with students to act as role models and mentors.

Additional explanation:

Invite alumni to assist with student recruiting and help with internships abroad. Focus on building relationships through these types of activities beyond soliciting alumni for financial support.

This recommendation was placed in the Lifelong Engagement Strategic Framework Substantive Category using the language:

Create a communication infrastructure and tools to connect internationally-based and internationally-connected alumni for student mentoring and to serve as “Admission Ambassadors.”

This recommendation was placed is Tier 1 and is being monitored by the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
