Recommendation from the Student Life Task Force:

Develop a robust academic program of leadership studies within the next three years.

Additional explanation:

Such a program should include: course development, student-faculty research, study abroad, and internships. Also included in this recommendation is the need to acquire scholarly material in the library and academic departments to advance the study and practice of leadership learning.

This recommendation was placed in the Quality-Enhancing and Innovative Initiatives Strategic Framework Substantive Category using the language:

Establish a comprehensive leadership center involving faculty, staff, students, alumni and parents, incorporating leadership development through the curriculum and through a leadership studies program, and guaranteeing that each student will experience leadership development and growth throughout their four years.

This recommendation was placed is Tier 2 and is being monitored by the Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs.
